Renewal House receives $25,000 grant from The UPS Foundation
Renewal House received a $25,000 grant from The UPS Foundation, which drives global corporate citizenship and philanthropic programs for UPS.

The grant will be used toward facilities improvements. Over the course of a year, Renewal House serves more than 150 unique individuals: women and children who live in our transitional housing and rental apartments, non-resident children and other family members and friends of the residents, non-resident women receiving treatment in our intensive outpatient program, and families returning to the campus to participate in alumni association activities. Facilities improvements funded through a UPS Foundation grant will help create a healing, safe and welcoming environment for women and children who have known so much trauma and chaos.

"We're grateful to UPS for their support and dedication," said Laura Berlind, CEO of Renewal House. "Beautification uplifts spirits and fosters recovery."

Established in 1951 and based in Atlanta, Ga., The UPS Foundation identifies specific areas where its backing clearly impacts social issues. In support of this strategic approach, The UPS Foundation has identified the following focus areas for giving: volunteerism, diversity, community safety and the environment.

In 2014, UPS and its employees, active and retired, invested more that $104.2 million in charitable giving around the world. The UPS Foundation can be found at UPS.com/foundation.

"The UPS Foundation is honored to support Renewal House's effort to break the cycle of addiction and poverty for mother's and their children," said Eduardo Martinez, president of The UPS Foundation. "Our goal is to fund powerful programs that make a lasting difference in the global community."
